History: CareCorps is a program of Care. Care was incorporated in 1945 in the District of Columbia as a not-for-profit organization.
Current minimum age of advisors: 16 years
Advisors sent on field projects: 120 in 2000.

CARE Corps is a cultural exchange program for people interested in volunteering and learning about social and development issues in Peru. CARE Corps volunteers interact with Peruvian communities in a variety of locally-driven projects. Located in the Andes Mountains, the program offers hands-on work opportunities, cultural exchange activities and educational sessions about global issues and CARE.
