Traineeships and volunteer projects run from 8 weeks to 18 months.
Many projects require that applicants be fluent in the language of the host country. AIESEC's exchange programme only accepts applicants from the following study disciplines or related disciplines: Accounting, Business Administration and Management, Computer Science, Development Studies, Economics, Finance, Information Technolgy, and Marketing.
Participants must also be either undergraduates or very recently graduated. In the case of the former, this typically means you are a second year student or later in your studies, and for the latter, this typically means you have finished university in the past six months
Programs are done the basis of a paid traineeship or as a volunteer for a non-profit organization. Participants receive a stipend.
